…but I’ll talk about it anyway as I thought it was cool and I want to go off down that road as soon as I can. I’m talking environment here ladies and gentlemen. I’m talking installation and hand made stuff therein. I’m talking photography of that installation/environment and the post production for still and motion afterwards. I’m talking wonderful layered versions for POS and billboard…and I’m just plain excited by it all.
An idea and concept image for a campaign that could have been but never was…
I had the pleasure of sharing some time and coffee with an old friend of mine yesterday; someone I have missed hugely these past five or six years. Richard May is, was and will always be a huge inspiration to me whether he believes so or not. McFaulStudio wouldn’t have happened had we not founded Black Convoy…and the rest, they say, is history. Now wielding a rather heavy bag of Leica’s he’s putting his considerable talent out there once more…

Have a look at his work here, here and here. Richard May – welcome back!
To say I’m a fan of Safari Sundays would be a huge understatement. They are a pearl in this sea of mediocrity and pastiche; keeping things real when all around is panic and bandwagon. Its been a pleasure watching them rise to the top since their beginnings. So…it gives me even greater pleasure (and mild hysteria) telling the creative tumult that is my Industry that I’m now one of them. As of mid August I’m a Safari Sunday. It means a lot of toing and froing (and a serious strategy for planting trees) but it facilitates a fantastic existence for myself and my young family as I/we will be mainly in Manhattan at least in the beginning.
I still have a handful of UK based projects on the go and everything carries on as we were on that front.
Change is good!
